WIZARD

After you’ve named your device and listed its parameters, click the “create synth folder and files” button

Adding your device to MIDI Goblin

The wizard will be generating a folder with some subfolders and a file in it, so you need to choose where this folder will be saved to on your computer. Choose a folder by navigating to it and pressing “choose”

Copy and paste the generated folder onto the MIDI Goblin micro sd card put the sd card back in your Goblin and that’s it!

You’re done(almost)

Alternatively, If you had the MIDI Goblin micro sd card inserted into your computer when you clicked the “create” button - you can simply choose the MIDI Goblin micro sd card and click “choose” - but its a good idea to save a copy onto your computer for backup purposes.

Turn on your MIDI Goblin, select your new device from the device select menu - you’ll notice an error flash on the screen momentarily saying it was unable to load the settings file, then the screen will switch to the main menu

Scroll down to “Settings”, highlight “save settings” and press “yes” - this will generate a settings file for your device…you may be wondering why the wizard doesn’t create this file automatically - its because as new features are added, the Goblin’s firmware will change and the number of settings and their names written to the settings file will change. Handling this file creation on the Goblin it’s self eliminates the need for users to have wizard versions that match the Goblin’s firmware.
